With spring fully here, we’re inching closer and closer to warm weather and blooming trees everywhere! Though, as long as the weather is clear, even a somewhat colder weather is pleasant outside.<\/p>\n

About 2 weeks ago, still early into March, my friends from Kawasaki came to see the beautiful area I live in and shared in the delight of being surrounded by nature and peace. Although it was hard to decide which particular views to show them for their first major trip to the Fuji Five Lakes area, we decided on lakes (and water) being key, so we decided to see as many lakes as possible.<\/p>\n

We took a speed boat trip around Kawaguchiko, went to see the sunset at Motosuko, and got to see the reflection of Mt. Fuji at night in Yamanakako.<\/p>\n

Since they came overnight, the following day we decided to go on a more active nature tour and went to even more locations! We started with the Shiraito and the Otodome Waterfalls of Shizuoka, where we spent a fair bit of the morning and afternoon. We went down all the way to the water and ate different types of strawberries for comparison!<\/p>\n

On the way back, we drove through the Asagiri Highlands and saw the most idyllic scene – cows by Mt. Fuji! They look so relaxed and cozy, you almost want to join them!<\/p>\n

We then went to the Narusawa Ice Cave, then took the walking trail to the Wind Cave. We miscalculated the time though, so by the time we got there, the Wind Cave was already closed for business. Whoops! However, it was definitely worth the walk, to be surrounded by nature and get away from mundane daily life!<\/p>\n

And with that, we spent the rest of the evening relaxing indoors and the next morning I dropped our friends back at Kawasaki! However, they promised to come back again to see the remaining lakes and discover more natural wonders of the Fuji Five Lakes area with us!<\/p>\n
